The Average IPO Price & Valuation for 2021 is...(drum roll)

As we near the end of 2021, it was fascinating to look back at all the IPOs.

After taking a look at some of the notables and seeing their IPO prices along w/ their valuations, I thought, hmmm....I wonder what the average IPO price and average valuation was in 2021? After all, I've always wondered how the two correlated. 🤔

So, I took a couple minutes and did the work and analyzed 59 of the hottest IPOs of the year ranging from Affirm, Qualtrics, Bumble, Coursera, UiPath, Procore, and Coinbase to Sprinklr, Confluent, SentinelOne, LegalZoom, Blend, Robinhood, Roblox, and beyond.

Here are the numbers....

Average IPO price = $39.22

Average IPO valuation = $12.45B

MUCH higher than I thought it would be!

I guess we can thank the 19 Decacorn IPOs for skewing the numbers for us 😀
